A wake-up call delivered
by songbirds will replace your alarm clock. The sweet savory smell of campfire coffee will lure you out of bed. The chuckwagon
crew serves up a hearty Texas breakfast to provide a solid foundation for a day of work or relaxation.
Bar H activities are
tailored to suit your interest and your budget.
Depending on the season,
you’ll have the opportunity to watch the cowboys work, feed the livestock, mend fences, haul hay, move the herd and
engage in dozens of other ranch chores. You can climb in the saddle and join in the work, or just watch.
If you would rather
spend your day relaxing, you can take a leisurely horseback ride across the rolling prairie, sit on the porch by the pool, take a stroll along the creek, hike or
bike on one of our challenging trails, pitch horseshoes or wander down to the fishing hole.
Custom made wagons provide comfortable tours of the ranch for guests who
are not partial to a saddle.
At the end of the day,
you can watch a magnificent sunset settle across the broad horizon. Mesquite-grilled steak and all of the trimmings wait at
the chuckwagon. Homemade cobbler and a crackling campfire soothe the body and the mind as the crickets and the coyotes call,
the stars begin to twinkle in the big clear Texas Sky. A climate controlled
bunkhouse awaits guests ready for a good nights sleep.
Fantastic Birding! 60
species seen in one day on this ranch! Large Black - Tailed Prairie Dog Town with Burrowing Owls. Coyotes, Raccoons, Deer, Bobcats and Armadillos
are just a few of the wild animals you are likely to encounter here.
The first part of May we hold our Spring Cattle
Round Up. Spend 5 days and 4 nights camping out with the cowboys, working the calves and experiencing part of the true cowboy
heritage. Please call for dates.
